Annual general Meeting

The Annual General Meeting for 2018 will be held on Sunday 4th November 2pm – 4pm.

Nominations are invited for Adult, Life, Honorary and Adult Family members to serve on the Council for the season 2018 – 2019. Nominations will close on Saturday 20th October. Please ensure that all nominations are willing to serve on the committee before entering their nominations. Proposers and seconders must be Adult / Life or Family Members.

There is a list in the club house (Membership board) where any interested parties can add their names together with Proposers and Seconders.

Election of Council Members – if the number of candidates duly proposed and seconded exceeds the number of vacancies to be filled, election shall be by ballot, by members present at the AGM and entitled to vote.

As per constitution, David Hudson has served three years as Commodore, and is not eligible for re-election. This position is therefore open to any member who wishes to apply. In addition Derek Spedding wishes to stand down as Treasurer, again this position requires filling.

Any queries – please contact David Hudson via email:

Over the next few weeks, we are likely to need assistance of members for some impromptu Work Parties, as UU work site work comes to an end and we are likely to obtain spare materials etc.

By filling out the online form, and capturing availability and contact numbers, it would ease the task of sorting out a Work Party quickly!

At the last council meeting, it was resolved that David Hudson should become Commodore until the next AGM. This was as a result of Tony having to relinquish the role due to work commitments. We are also looking for new blood to join the council and drive the club forward. As per the constitution a notice is now posted in the clubhouse, a copy of which can be accessed below.
