RYA Training

As an accredited RYA Training Centre via the RYA we are able to offer the following sailing courses.The programme is designed to get our members out on the water, be it in a dinghy, on a windsurf board, or assisting with power boating. RYA training is recognised worldwide, and achieving certification enables everyone to pursue their chosen sport outside of the sailing club.

Dinghy Sailing

The club actively runs the adult sailing courses Level 1 and Level 2.  Level 3 and Dinghy Seamanship Skills are also available if there is sufficient demand.

We also run youth courses Levels 1 ,2 and 3.

Windsurfing

The club actively runs the adult wind surfing courses Start Windsurfing and Intermediate Windsurfing (Non Planing)

We also run youth courses Youth Windsurfing Stages 1 and 2.

Shore based

When our usual week night sailing activities are curtailed by the onset of Winter there is the opportunity to partake in some shore based training. Namely either the Day Skipper or Yacht master theory courses:

These have tended to run on alternate years, but is very much based on demand.

Course are available to Members only and cost £75 per course. (£90 power)

Clowbridge is a great venue where members can learn to sail, and develop skills.

 

Courses are booked and paid through our WebCollect page. New users should create an account. After signing in, select course and arrange payment. Course places are limited.
