Ops ‘n’ Tops is a parent supervised kids group that is facilitated by some of our finest sailors. These sessions are specifically aimed at helping the kids to gain confidence and also to have fun whilst sailing, this helps bring the club together as well as teaching the kids to sail. The children are a variety of ages, the younger kids go in small stable boats called Optimists until their confidence and their ability grows, the older children sail in Toppers, Topaz’s and RS Quba’s. These sessions have been proved a success as we have had some of the children joining in with our Wednesday night and Sunday afternoon race series’. Others have progressed to sailing at a National level within the NSSA.
Ops ‘n’ Tops is now been existence for over ten years, and has been very successful and it keeps improving year by year.
This year (2018) we will hold sessions, commencing 26th May, with final session 1st September.Sessions run from 10am till 12, ideally be there at 09:30 to rig boats and get changed in order to maximise time on the water.
